60 Days of Humane Burpees!

On July 21, 2025 I set out on a small experiment. Nothing extreme, nothing flashy — just 10 rounds of Dan John’s Humane Burpee each day. My goal wasn’t to break records, but to sneak in some extra strength work and see what consistency could do over time.
The Numbers:
In 60 days, this practice added up to:
  • 9,000 kettlebell swings
  • 3,300 goblet squats
  • 3,300 push-ups
Each session lasted about 10–15 minutes. Some days I tacked it on after my main training as a finisher. Other days it stood alone as my “movement snack.”
Why It Worked:
  1. Consistency beats intensity – Daily practice compounds.
  2. Time-efficient – 15 minutes is doable no matter how busy life gets.
  3. Flexible application – Works with or without a bigger training plan.
  4. Quality > quantity – A light/moderate bell let me focus on crisp form.
Takeaway:
This experiment reinforced a lesson I try to teach my clients: you don’t need hours in the gym or an extreme program to get stronger. You just need a repeatable practice that fits into your life and builds momentum.
If you’re curious, try your own 30- or 60-day challenge. Start small, pick something simple, and watch what happens when you stick with it.
